What is Time for Prints (TFP) and Time for CD (TFCD)?

Time for prints is a collaborative effort between a photographer and a model or potential model.  The person or model gets free prints or CD for their personal or professional use, usually for their portfolio.  The photographer gets a signed release so he or she can use the photos for advertising and examples of their work.  It also allows both people to practice their art.  Modeling, glamour photography, and posing in general takes a great deal of practice and skill to be a truly great model.  Photographing people also takes a great deal of different skills than most other photography.  The time for prints agreement allows both parties to benefit from the arrangement.

Who qualifies for my offer?

You have to be someone who will add to my portfolio.  If you have the right look or would be perfect for an idea I'm brewing then you qualify.

How do we set this up?

First realize this can only happen if we can make our schedules match.  This may be the hardest part.  We all have busy lives.  So planning and patience is a must.  You can either email me at closeencountersphoto@yahoo.com or you can call me at 503-703-6302 (cell) (Email is the most reliable).

The type of photos you need will determine the amount of time we will require.  When you are thinking about how much time to devote to the session triple what you are thinking.  In my experience it always takes much longer than you anticipate. 

 If you are under 18 you will need to bring a parent or guardian during the session.  They will be required to stay through the whole session. This protects us both.  If you are over 18 years old you are still welcome (but not required) to bring someone to act as your assistant.  We will put them to work. 

What kind of photos will we take?

If you are a senior we will take representative senior photos.  If you are a couple we will do couple photos.  If you are a family we will take group photos.  Pretty simple.  We will take the photos you need.  Future models are a little more specific.  Models need three types of photos.

1.  A good basic head shot.

 

 

2.  A 3/4 length body shot in a swimsuit or lingerie.

  

 

3.  A full length shot.

 

How far does my offer extend?

Well, you have to come to me.  I don't care where you come from.  I will arrange locations for our sessions depending on the type of photos you desire.  This is time consuming in itself so please don't make arrangements that you don't plan to keep. 

What should you bring?

I recommend bringing twice as many outfits as you plan to wear.  We can make changes based on available backgrounds and environments we are doing our session. 

Bring a great attitude.  Be willing to laugh and be willing to work hard.  I'm slow so bring patience. 

Bring your personal grooming items. 

If you will be wearing a swim suit, lingerie or doing anything requiring partial or full nudity I request that you remove constrictive clothing like tight underwear that will leave indentations in your skin. 

Bring your friend or parent. 

After the session is over...

I will provide you with a CD of the best photos (there is no number I can give you. It depends on how many good photos we create) that are good representatives of our work.
