Both the shot of Robert on fire and the Ice man started with the same technique. I had taken a photo of ice on the car window and overlayed it with Roberts photo. Then I applied various photoshop techniques until I found one I liked. The Hot photo I changed the color to red and then Robert used a "smudge" tool to sort of liquify the image and he cropped it where he wanted it. Overall it is my fav.
The black and white silhouette was also pretty labor intensive. I took a backlit series of photos of Robert for this one. We actually planned the shot based on a comic book photo Robert wanted to do. Then I took the photo and made two copies. One copy I made the negative of the other. I shrunk the positive and put in inside the negative to make the white outline. Then I handed it to Robert and taught him how to make the brush strokes and he made the rain the way he wanted it.
The snake man photos were transformed from cutting section of scales from my rattle snake photos and overlaying them on Cameron and then taking the eyes and tongue from the snake and putting them on Cam. Sort a a labor and time consuming. I had to go back and then erase parts of the overlay until I got the image I wanted.
Robert into books was my attempt to show Robert's personality of loving books. Unfortunately I haven't quite got what I want yet on this one but it is a cool image anyway. But Robert and I are going to make another stab at this one some other time.
Hope you enjoyed the artwork.
